Francophone Festival & Outdoor Ball
Come and share the JOIE DE VIVRE of Francophone people and spend a day full of games, food, dancing, and fun.
Lycee Franco Americain International School is organizing our Sixth Kermesse & Bal Populaire / Francophone Festival & “Under the Stars” Ball to take place on Saturday, March 14, 2009. The festival will be held from 11:00am until 5:30pm and the ball will start at 6:30pm.
This cultural festival will feature booths highlighting different countries/regions representing the cultural ancestry of our community. Each booth will have music, arts, crafts and food from the representative country/region. The booths will represent the following countries/regions:
U.S.A. - France - Canada/Quebec - French Antilles (Haïti, Martinique, Guadaloupe, Ile Maurice) – English Antilles (Trinidad & Tobago and Barbados) - North Africa (Morocco, Tunesia) - Latin America
In addition to the booths, there will be fun activities for children including a bounce house and organized games as well as friendly competition between adult teams in soccer, volleyball and basketball.
A section of the festival is devoted to businesses where a representative of the business can display and share information about their business, and introduce the products and services they provide. In this section, businesses can also sell their products (except food items) during the duration of the festival. A variety of different foods from various cultures will be available to purchase.
